Dee Hill
Hello, my name is Deedee Hill. I embrace many roles in life: I am a child of God, a wife, a mother, a grandmother of 3 young Kings, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. In 2018, God revealed to me the vision of starting She Affirms. However, due to my past struggles with people-pleasing, I didn't immediately act on it. In 2020, God brought back this vision to me.
Like many, I chose to prioritize my mental health journey first as life seemed to be falling apart at that time. During my healing process, God guided me to seek help from a therapist and a life coach.
They helped me realize that life is a journey where we must be
compassionate to ourselves, break down mental barriers of comparison, and learn self-love and healthy self-parenting. This involves embracing contentment in every season, practicing self-discipline, and cultivating self-awareness to aspire for personal growth.
As a result, we become better equipped to serve others by first serving ourselves first, affirming our own worth based on God's truth without seeking external validation.
And that's how She Affirms came to be!
